Cameroon Institute of Biblical Studies exists as a Certificate, diploma and degree awarding Institute to provide advanced training and equipping in Biblical studies, ministerial and leadership skills to faithful men and women in the Christendom, so they may be prepared to carry out the “work of the ministry and discipleship making.”
To train Christians to become mature in Christ, so as to serve the Lord well in congregations of the Churches of Christ. To train and motivate faithful men and women to teach others, preach the gospel and bring the lost to Christ. To encourage church planting especially in areas where the congregations of the Lord are not there. To provide spiritual and educational training to develop the skills of spiritual leadership in the church.
To provide assistance to the local congregations through: preacher’s seminars, servant hood leadership training workshops/ lectureships and students internship programs. To encourage students / our graduates to preach in rural areas and start new congregations of the Lord’s church. To train students acquire modern knowledge of agriculture such as drip irrigation and soil conservation skills, poultry, rabbits and piggery farming during their educational years and / or post-graduate years of preaching /teaching ministry. Vocational trades such as computer maintenance / programming, graphic arts, electrical installation etc.; could give a student preacher a strong standing upon graduation to serve as a tent making minister.
